Cursor usage limits explained
Cursor meters a monthly usage pool per billing cycle rather than a rolling window. JP can show Cursor's own plan percentages after an opt-in, and local Cursor activity as a token estimate — both stay out of combined dollar totals.

A billing-cycle pool
Cursor's Spending page splits the plan into Cursor Models and Other Models percentages that reset at the end of the billing cycle, plus a weekly Grok Bot meter on plans that include one. There is no 5-hour rolling window like Claude or Codex.
How JP reads it
Turn on Cursor plan usage in Settings → Live data and JP reads those official percentages from Cursor's own usage API with the sign-in Cursor already saved on your Mac, at most once every five minutes. They appear in the Cursor row and its detail only — never in the menu bar, widget, alerts, or dollar totals. The separate local stop hook adds a token estimate of Cursor activity.
